Adore Tea's Award Winning Teas

Black Tea

Once picked these leaves are withered and rolled, before being laid out flat and left to oxidise, which allows for the rich flavours to develop. Whether you’re looking for a delicate Darjeeling or a robust Scottish breakfast, we’ve got the black tea for you.

Flavoured Black Tea

We use natural flavours to create our divine selection of flavoured black teas, some blends contain pieces of dried fruit or a sprinkling of petals for an intense flavour boost. Not sure where to start? Why not try our popular Canberra Breeze or award-winning Afternoon Bliss?

Green Tea

Green tea is often praised for its beneficial qualities and its consumption has deep roots in Eastern culture and tradition. Green tea is a sweet, mellow tea. The leaf is processed minimally and remains high in antioxidants and vitamin C, while also being low in caffeine and the tea leaves remain bright green due to a heating process known as ‘fixation’ which removes the enzymes responsible for oxidation.

Chai

An indulgent sensory experience; Chai is a wholesome blend of tea and aromatic traditional Indian spices and herbs. Chai spices include cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves, star anise and more.

Oolong

Known by the Chinese as ‘blue-green tea’ Oolong teas undergo a roasting and rolling process known as semi-oxidisation that brings out its flavours. Oolong teas are a specialty of the Fujian and Guangdong provinces of China, as well as Taiwan.

White Tea

White teas tend to only be rolled by hand to ensure the quality of the whole leaf is maintained. Only the most specific buds are picked for this rare tea and only for two weeks at the start of spring. Once picked, the leaves are spread out on bamboo racks and left to dry for 2-3 days while the temperature and humidity are carefully regulated.

Flowering Tea

Flowering White teas are a delicacy. Long white tea leaves – ‘silver needles’ are hand rolled with beautiful combinations of flowers sewn into the middle. What starts as a ball, will open up into a blooming tea. Amazing to watch, these teas are fabulous to share with friends. Brew one at a time in a glass teapot or carafe to watch the spectacle. White tea is light and leaves you refreshed. The flowers used in each individual ball add the perfect floral touch to the delicate white leaves. Use 75-degree water temperature to protect the delicate nature of the white tea leaves. You can allow the flowering tea to brew for as long as you want and it can be rebrewed several times.

Rooibos

Finely chopped Rooibos leaves naturally contain no caffeine or tannins, and unlike other teas will never go bitter. Rooibos does not come from the same plant as other teas, but rather from the aspalathus linearis plant native to South Africa, where it is known as ‘Red Bush’.

Fruit Infusion

A naturally beautiful combination of sweet dried fruits and fragrant flower petals, fruit infusions contain no tea leaves, so they have no tannins and no caffeine, making them great for adults and kids alike!

Herbal

Herbal blends are a mix of herbs and tend to be a combination designed to give you maximum health benefits as well as provide a great taste. Though Herbs are believed to provide health benefits, they are not a substitute for medical care, please consult your medical practitioner before drinking herbal infusions.

Brewing loose leaf tea properly produces an exquisite drink. Compared to brewing from a tea bag the tea leaves are in direct contact with the brewing water. Brewing loose leaves captures more of the tea’s original flavour and essential oils.
